APOSTASY nominated for 6 BIFAs

APOSTASY Director Daniel Kokotajlo has been nominated for British Independent Film Award (BIFA), The Douglas Hickox for Debut Director, along with the Debut Screenwriter award. APOSTASY‘s Molly Wright (who stars as Alex) has been nominated for 2 awards; Most Promising Newcomer, and Best Supporting Actress alongside contenders including Rachel McAdams, Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz.

APOSTASY was developed and funded through iFeatures. Written by Daniel Kokotajlo, a former Jehovah’s Witness, APOSTASY is the story of a faithful Jehovah's Witness who is forced to shun her own sister because of a religious transgression. As the separation draws out, she starts to question the meaning of God's love. APOSTASY is a remarkable debut film, providing rare authenticity and insight into faith, family, duty and love.
